Who are the Friends of Bethany?
Friends of Bethany was set up to involve more people in the activities of the Bethany complex and to raise more awareness in the member churches. Our objectives are:
Welfare: To provide friendship and support to all the residents of the Complex through regular visits. Fundraiding: To raise funds for the benefit of the residents i.e. subsidise outings, Christmas presents for Staff and residents, New Year party etc. Promotions: To publicise the community of Bethany and all events associated with it. The Administration Committee consists of all Friends of Bethany and will meet quarterly in March, June September and December. Get involved! We are always looking for new members. Perhaps you have a budding idea for our next social activity or can spare some time and a listening ear. Please get in touch Did you know...? Our residents say socialising and cups of tea are in their top ten favourite pastimes. |
Did you know...? With any money we raise we can support trips and social activities within and outside the homes. Recent Projects
Recent projects include a raised garden outside the library, which has encouraged a budding group of residents to help the Friends of Bethany decide on both the planning and initial planting. The upkeep of the garden is jointly shared by the residents and the Friends.
