Our Staff

Our team of dedicated professionals provide 7 days a week, 24 hour a day care, based on levels of dependency and personal needs of our residents. The majority of our staff have been with us for many years.

Our staff play an important role in the well-being of our residents.  We assess the risks to each individual's health and safety during any care or treatment and make sure their staff have the qualifications, competence, skills and experience to keep them safe.

We do this by making sure that we provide sufficient numbers and skill mix. We maintain the appropriate number of staff with qualifications in health and social care; in line with standards. Staff are given the support, training and supervision they need to help them do their job. Ensuring safe care and treatment. Staff training and appraisals are continual to maintain the high quality of care given.

Bethany Homestead has strong recruitment procedures in place. All staff are checked with the Disclosure and Barring Service (previously CRB checks) and Independent Safeguarding Authority. Only employing people who can provide care and treatment appropriate to their role.

Over 84 % of our care staff are trained at NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care for the Elderly. Of those 78% are at level 3 and above.

Jobs & Opportunities

All current job opportunities are advertised on the home page of this website.

We are always looking to add to our team of dedicated volunteers, you can find our more about what they do on our Friends of Bethany pages.

We often work with local school and colleges to support students on work placements, read some of their testimonies below:

" You gave me the opportunity to come to Bethany and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have undertaken. At my interview for medical school I was given the opportunity to talk about my time here and I was able to express how many new skills I have gained and how valuable the experience was helping me to get an insight into the medical profession."
"I have learnt so much and really understand how important your jobs are!"
"Thank you so much for all of you making me feel so welcome and for all of you being so kind to me during my placement. I have very much enjoyed my time I have spent with you and I will miss you all very much"
