Visiting Guidance
Care home is currently open to visitors.

Bethany Homestead is currently open to visitors. We no longer require appointments to be pre booked for visits but we ask that you make a courtesy call if possible to let us know you are coming. This is in case the resident has other visitors or engagements, and will also allow us to keep a track of how many visitors are on site at any one time.
 
Do I need to take a lateral flow test before visiting?*
Lateral flow tests are no longer required but if you feel you would still like to do one for your own peace of mind please do. We ask that if you feel unwell or are recently recovering from an illness that you postpone your visit.

Do I need to wear a face mask / covering onsite? *
Visitors no longer need to wear a face mask or covering, but again if you feel you would prefer to, please do. They will also be available for you to use. You will notice that staff are still wearing face masks when providing personal care.

*We continue to monitor this and follow local and national guidelines - therefore visits may be subject to change at short notice to protect our residents, visitors and staff.

How can I keep in touch if I am unable to visit in person?

Should there be an outbreak of COVID-19, or other illness at the care home, we have the right to close our doors to visitors for everyone's safety. We have the following set up to enable you to maintain contact with your loved ones, as well as encouraging regular contact through telephone calls and emails.

Getting to grips with new technology

Visiting pod: We have a visiting pod available for non-contact visitors (behind a Perspex screen) these are also by appointment only.

Zoom/Skype calls: We can continue organise remote video calls via Zoom.

​All essential / emergency visits will continue and will be coordinated in line with guidance..
